The outcome of a survey by Unica, a selling software solutions company, show that social media is becoming popular with marketeers wanting to exploit the platform if offers. Of those surveyed, about fifty % stated that they were already using social media promoting, while twenty-five % admitted they were planning to incorporate it into their strategies in next year.

Kevin Dendy, commercial director at the Direct Promoting Associatio ( DMA ), echoed those sensibilities when addressing industry figures at the Technology for Promoting and Advertising meeting. “The Direct Promoting Association itself is totally embroiled in becoming involved in social media and digital one of our strategic objectives for this year is digital campaigns, ” related Mr Dendy.

The potential that exists inside social media is evidenced by the study conducted by InSites Consulting, which proved that 72 % of net users worldwide utilize a social network site such as Facebook or Twitter.
